Biological Activity

MF-766 is an orally active, potent, and selective prostaglandin E2 receptor 4 (EP4) antagonist (Ki 0.23 nM). Blockade of EP4 signaling by MF-766 inhibits PGE2-mediated immune suppression, promoting the infiltration of CD8+ T cells, natural killer cells, and dendritic cells into the tumor microenvironment. This antagonism restores cytokine production, including interferon-γ, and remodels tumor-associated myeloid cell populations to enhance anti-tumor immunity. [1][2]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
