Metoprolol Tartrate is a selective β1-adrenergic receptor antagonist. By inhibiting β1-adrenergic receptor activation, it blocks catecholamine-stimulated G-protein signaling pathways, leading to suppressed cyclic AMP (cAMP) production and reduced downstream signaling through protein kinase A (PKA). This selective receptor blockade diminishes sympathetic signaling cascades in cardiomyocytes, resulting in negative inotropic and chronotropic responses in cellular model systems. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
