Meclofenoxate (Centrophenoxine) HCl is a nootropic agent and choline derivative that acts as an inhibitor of cholinephosphotransferase. By altering phospholipid metabolism and enhancing brain cholinergic function, it reduces age-related neuronal damage and decreases cellular lipofuscin accumulation. Consequently, meclofenoxate promotes membrane fluidity, restores neuronal metabolic activity, and supports cognitive function in models of age-associated neurodegeneration.
