MC3482 is a cell-permeable sirtuin 5 (SIRT5) inhibitor that regulates protein lysine desuccinylation. By modulating SIRT5 activity, it regulates Annexin-A1 succinylation to attenuate microglia-mediated neuroinflammatory responses and neuronal apoptosis.
