M4205 (IDRX-42) is an oral, selective inhibitor of the receptor tyrosine kinase KIT with broad activity against mutations in KIT exons 11, 13, and 17. By targeting oncogenic KIT signaling, it suppresses downstream kinase cascades and tumor cell proliferation. M4205 exhibits significant and dose-dependent antitumor activity in gastrointestinal stromal tumor xenograft models driven by KIT mutations. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
