Ordering Information

Biological Activity

LYN-1604 is a potent ULK1 agonist that binds wild-type ULK1 with a Kd of 291.4 nM and inhibits MDA-MB-231 triple-negative breast cancer cell viability with an IC50 of 1.66 μM. Interaction with the ULK1 active site depends on specific residues, as the Y89A mutation markedly reduces binding affinity. Activation of ULK1 triggers downstream autophagic signaling, promoting autophagy-dependent cell death in breast cancer cells. [1]

Solubility

All in vitro solubility values are batch-tested experimental data (non-literature values).
Solvent Solubility & Note
Water 100 mg/mL
Ethanol 100 mg/mL
DMSO 50 mg/mL (76.04 mM)
(Moisture-contaminated DMSO may reduce solubility. Use fresh, anhydrous DMSO. The recommended stock concentration is 10 mM in DMSO.)
FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
