Biological Activity
LY3522348 is a highly selective, oral dual inhibitor targeting human ketohexokinase isoforms C (hKHK-C) and A (hKHK-A). By blocking ketohexokinase activity, LY3522348 disrupts fructolysis, impairing downstream fructose metabolism and inhibiting fructose-driven metabolic pathways. In vivo, this targeted inhibition produces a robust pharmacodynamic response in animal models of fructose metabolism, reducing substrate flux into lipogenic pathways. Consequently, LY3522348 serves as a useful chemical probe for studying fructose-mediated metabolic dysfunction. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
