LY3405105 is an orally active cyclin-dependent kinase 7 (CDK7) inhibitor that targets transcriptional and cell cycle regulatory pathways. As a core component of the TFIIH complex and cyclin-dependent kinase-activating kinase, CDK7 controls RNA polymerase II phosphorylation and cell cycle progression. Inhibition of CDK7 disrupts transcriptional elongation and halts cell division, mediating potent antiproliferative activity and demonstrating potential antineoplastic efficacy. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
