Biological Activity

LQZ-7I is a selective inhibitor of survivin dimerization, displaying antiproliferative activity in PC-(ICof.8 µM) and C-2 (ICof.1 µM) prostate cancer cell lines. Disruption of survivin dimerization induces proteasome-dependent degradation of survivin, leading to apoptosis and impaired cell survival. Furthermore, oral administration of LQZ-7I effectively suppresses xenograft tumor growth and induces survivin loss in tumors in vivo. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
