Biological Activity

Lotiglipron (PF- is an orally active agonist of the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R). Selective activation of GLP-1R stimulates intracellular cAMP signaling, leading to enhanced glucose-dependent insulin secretion and inhibition of glucagon release. Through these metabolic signaling cascades, lotiglipron improves glycemic control, lowers blood glucose levels, and reduces body weight in experimental models of type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
