Lacidipine is a potent L-type calcium channel blocker that inhibits voltage-gated calcium influx to induce vascular smooth muscle relaxation and lower blood pressure. It modulates endoplasmic reticulum calcium homeostasis, upregulates the ER chaperone BiP, and moderately induces the unfolded protein response to enhance mutant protein proteostasis. Additionally, lacidipine prevents motor nerve conduction velocity deterioration and attenuates hyperalgesia in diabetic rat models.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
