Description L-Hisidine (Glyoxaline-5-alanine) is an α-amino acid needed in humans for growth and tissue repair. It is used in the biosynthesis of proteins.
In vivo L-histidine shows impairment on learning and memory processes. The administration of L-histidine (500 mg/kg i.p.) impairs performance in the shuttle-box, suggesting that an increase in cerebral histamine levels impairs the acquisition of avoidance response in rats[1].
