KT-621 is a selective degrader targeting signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 (STAT6). By inducing the targeted proteasomal degradation of STAT6, KT-621 effectively blocks signal transduction within the key IL-4/IL-13 signaling pathway. This targeted depletion inhibits downstream transcriptional activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, suppressing Th2 cell differentiation and downstream Type 2 inflammatory responses. Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
