Biological Activity
KT-253 is a potent heterobifunctional MDM2 degrader and p53 stabilizer. By inducing targeted degradation of MDM2, it prevents MDM2-mediated p53 ubiquitination and degradation, thereby activating downstream p53 pathway signaling. This restoration of p53 transcriptional activity leads to cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and robust antitumor effects across p53 wild-type hematologic and solid malignancies. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
