KN-93 is a cell-permeable, competitive Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII) inhibitor with a Ki of. By disrupting CaMKII activation and downstream signaling pathways, KN-93 modulates cellular processes including calcium ion transport, cardiac excitation-contraction coupling, neuronal plasticity, and cell cycle progression. Inhibition of CaMKII by KN-93 suppresses substrate phosphorylation, leading to attenuated cell proliferation and altered intracellular calcium homeostasis. [1]
