KN-92 phosphate is an inactive structural analogue of KN-93, serving as a negative control for studies targeting Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII). Unlike KN-93, KN-92 does not inhibit CaMKII activity, allowing researchers to evaluate specific CaMKII-mediated cellular responses and rule out off-target effects. Consequently, it is widely utilized in kinase signaling pathway research to validate CaMKII-dependent phenotypes and downstream physiological processes.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
