Biological Activity

KM91104 is a cell-permeable benzohydrazide derivative and selective vacuolar H+-ATPase (V-ATPase) inhibitor that specifically targets the interaction between V-ATPase subunits a3 and B2. By disrupting this critical protein-protein interface, KM91104 prevents functional V-ATPase complex assembly and impairs proton pump activity, leading to suppressed organellar and lysosomal acidification along with downstream inhibition of V-ATPase-dependent cellular pathways. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
