JNT-517 is an orally bioavailable, selective inhibitor of human SLC6A19 (IC=in an isoleucine transport assay). By blocking SLC6A19-mediated amino acid reabsorption in the proximal renal tubules, JNT-517 prevents renal uptake of neutral amino acids. In a mouse model of phenylketonuria, JNT-517 treatment increases urinary excretion of phenylalanine, thereby lowering elevated plasma phenylalanine levels. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
