Biological Activity

JHU37152 is a potent Designer Receptors Exclusively Activated by Designer Drug (DREADD) agonist with high affinity for human muscarinic acetylcholine hM3Dq receptors and hM4Di receptors. In HEK-293 cells, it demonstrates activation of hM3Dq and hM4Di (EC50 0.. Activation of these engineered receptors selectively modulates downstream signaling pathways, controlling neuronal firing and behavioral phenotypes. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
