Biological Activity

IRAK inhibitor 6 is a potent and selective inhibitor of Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 4 (IRAK4). By targeting IRAK4, it disrupts Toll-like receptor (TLR) and Interleukin-1 receptor (IL-1R) signal transduction, suppressing downstream activation of the NF-kB pathway. This inhibition reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and attenuates inflammatory responses in immune and cancer cell models. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
