IQ-1S is a small-molecule inhibitor of c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) enzymes, including JNK1, JNK2, and JNK3 isoforms. By blocking JNK signaling, IQ-1S modulates downstream AP-1 transcription factor activity and alters cellular responses to inflammatory stimuli and oxidative stress. Inhibition of the JNK pathway leads to suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokine production and influences cell survival and apoptotic phenotypes in diverse biological models.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
