Biological Activity

IQ-1 is a small-molecule agent that targets the PR72/130 subunit of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) to block its interaction with Nkd. By preventing the PP2A/Nkd interaction, IQ-1 selectively enhances Wnt/β-catenin signaling via the coactivator CBP over p300. This targeted activity maintains mouse embryonic stem cell pluripotency in Wnt3a-treated cells, promoting Wnt/β-catenin-driven self-renewal and expansion while effectively preventing spontaneous differentiation. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
