Indophagolin is an indoline-containing autophagy inhibitor and purinergic receptor antagonist targeting P2X4, P2X1, and P2X3 receptors, while also exhibiting antagonistic activity against the serotonin receptor 5-HT6. By blocking purinergic receptor signaling and inhibiting autophagy pathways, Indophagolin modulates lysosomal degradation and downstream intracellular signaling networks. These actions impair cellular autophagic flux and alter purinergic-mediated response pathways under stress conditions.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
