Biological Activity

iJMJD6 (WL is a selective small-molecule inhibitor of Jumonji C-domain-containing protein 6 (JMJD6), an iron- and α-ketoglutarate-dependent oxygenase and arginine demethylase. By blocking JMJD6 catalytic activity, iJMJD6 represses the transcription of downstream oncogenes such as Myc and CCND Consequently, this inhibition impairs cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in multiple cancer cell lines while demonstrating minimal toxicity toward normal cells. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
