Biological Activity
iGOT1-01 is a potent inhibitor of cytosolic glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase 1 (GOT1) that exhibits anti-cancer activity. By targeting GOT1, the compound disrupts the malate-aspartate shuttle and glutamine metabolism pathway essential for sustaining cellular redox homeostasis. Inhibition of GOT1 suppresses NADPH production and increases reactive oxygen species levels, ultimately impairing cancer cell proliferation and cell survival. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
