Biological Activity

hVEGF-IN-1 is a quinazoline derivative that specifically binds to the G-rich sequence in internal ribosome entry site A (IRES-A) with a Kd of. This binding destabilizes the RNA G-quadruplex structure within the 5′-untranslated region of VEGF-A mRNA, downregulating cap-independent translation of VEGF-A. Consequently, decreased VEGF-A expression impairs tumor cell migration and represses tumor growth. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
