Biological Activity

HS148 is a selective inhibitor of death-associated protein kinase 3 (DAPK3) with a Ki of. By selectively targeting DAPK3 over Pim kinases, HS148 suppresses DAPK3-mediated phosphorylation of smooth muscle myosin light chain and downstream cellular contractile signaling. This compound serves as a valuable molecular probe to differentiate DAPK3-specific signaling from multi-target kinase networks in regulating vascular smooth muscle contractility and hypertension mechanisms. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
