HJC0197 is a dual antagonist targeting exchange proteins directly activated by cyclic AMP 1 and 2 (Epac1 and Epac2). By selectively suppressing Epac activation, the compound disrupts exchange factor activity and blocks downstream cAMP-mediated intracellular signaling cascades. This pharmacological inhibition attenuates Epac-dependent guanine nucleotide exchange on Rap GTPases, leading to impaired cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
