GSK36832 is a non-time-dependent, highly selective enzymatic inhibitor of DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1, IC= displaying over-fold selectivity relative to DNMT3A/3L and DNMT3B/3L. By reversibly inhibiting DNMT1, GSK3685032 promotes robust DNA hypomethylation and reactivates hypermethylated tumor suppressor genes. This epigenetic modulation downstream suppresses cancer cell proliferation and exhibits marked antitumor activity in preclinical models of acute myeloid leukemia. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
