Gingerenone A is a natural polyphenol that acts as an inhibitor of p70 S6 kinase (S6K1) and an activator of the Nrf2/GPX4 signaling pathway. By suppressing S6K1 activity and enhancing cellular antioxidant defenses, it alleviates ferroptosis to reduce secondary liver injury during colitis. Additionally, this compound displays significant anti-adipogenic, anti-lipogenic, anti-hyperglycemic, anti-obesity, and anti-inflammatory cellular phenotypes. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
