Ordering Information

Biological Activity

GDC-0623 is a potent, ATP-uncompetitive inhibitor of MEK1 that targets the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway. By suppressing MEK kinase activity, GDC-0623 blocks downstream ERK phosphorylation and impairs oncogenic gene expression. Consequently, it inhibits cellular proliferation and induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in tumor models harboring KRAS or BRAF mutations, leading to significant suppression of tumor growth. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
