FX-11 is a potent inhibitor of lactate dehydrogenase A (LDHA) that targets glycolytic energy metabolism. Inhibition of LDHA by FX-11 disrupts aerobic glycolysis, reduces intracellular ATP levels, and increases reactive oxygen species accumulation. Consequently, FX-11 suppresses cancer cell proliferation and induces oxidative stress-dependent apoptosis, ultimately leading to significant inhibition of tumor growth in xenograft models. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
