Biological Activity

FPH2 (BRD-9424) is a small-molecule activator that promotes the functional expansion and maturation of hepatocytes. It facilitates the proliferation and differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cell-derived hepatocytes and primary human hepatocytes without inducing dedifferentiation. By modulating hepatic lineage-specific signaling, FPH2 enhances liver-specific functional phenotypes, including albumin secretion and metabolic enzyme activity, supporting liver cell modeling and regenerative medicine applications. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
