FL-411 is a potent small-molecule inhibitor targeting bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4). By selectively binding to the bromodomain of BRD4, FL-411 displaces BRD4 from chromatin and disrupts BRD4-mediated transcriptional signaling pathways. This inhibition perturbs downstream cellular gene expression and signaling networks, ultimately leading to suppressed cell proliferation and the induction of autophagy-associated cell death phenotypes in target cancer cells. Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
