ESI-05 is a specific exchange protein directly activated by cAMP 2 (EPAC2) antagonist with an IC50 of 0.4 µM. It selectively inhibits cAMP-mediated activation of EPAC2, preventing downstream Rap1 activation and modulating cAMP-dependent signaling pathways. By blocking EPAC2 activation, ESI-05 suppresses cellular functions regulated by EPAC2-Rap1 signaling without targeting EPAC1 activity.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
