Esculentoside A is a natural triterpenoid saponin with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive activities. It inhibits the NF-kB signaling pathway, suppressing the expression and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, and IL-6 in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated macrophages. Through these actions, Esculentoside A attenuates inflammatory mediator release and cellular immune responses, demonstrating broad anti-inflammatory potential with low toxicity. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
