Eptapirone (F11440) is a potent, selective, high-efficacy serotonin 5-HT1A receptor agonist with high binding affinity for 5-HT1A sites. Activation of 5-HT1A receptors by eptapirone modulates central serotonergic signaling pathways and inhibits G-protein-coupled effector cascades. In preclinical models, this targeted receptor activation regulates downstream neurochemical transmission, producing marked anxiolytic-like and antidepressant-like responses.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
