Emricasan (IDN-6556) is a potent, irreversible pan-caspase inhibitor that suppresses caspase-mediated apoptotic signaling pathways. By blocking caspase activity, it prevents cellular apoptosis, preserves neural progenitor cell viability during viral challenge, and attenuates Zika virus-induced cell death. Consequently, Emricasan blocks downstream apoptotic cascade activation, leading to enhanced cell survival and neuroprotective cellular phenotypes. [1][2]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
