Biological Activity

Ecubectedin (PM14) acts as a transcriptional inhibitor that forms DNA adducts, effectively blocking RNA synthesis and preventing the transcription of protein-coding genes. By disrupting active gene transcription, it triggers downstream cell cycle arrest and apoptotic cell death. Consequently, Ecubectedin exhibits potent antiproliferative activity across various human solid cancer models both in vitro and in vivo.
