Dynasore is a cell-permeable, reversible non-competitive dynamin inhibitor targeting the GTPase activity of dynamin 1 and dynamin 2, as well as mitochondrial Drp1. By blocking dynamin-dependent endocytosis and membrane trafficking, it disrupts cellular nutrient uptake, suppresses mTORC1 signaling, and induces autophagy. Additionally, Dynasore impairs endocytic entry pathways to inhibit the cellular infection of multiple viruses, including herpes simplex virus. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
