DW71177 is a potent, BD1-selective bromodomain and extra-terminal family inhibitor that specifically targets the acetyl-lysine binding pocket of the BD1 bromodomain. By disrupting BRD4- and histone acetylation-mediated transcriptional regulation, DW71177 effectively suppresses oncogene expression with minimal impact on housekeeping genes. Consequently, it blocks cancer-associated transcriptional programs and exhibits marked antileukemic activity in acute myeloid leukemia models. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
