Biological Activity
dTAG-13 is a heterobifunctional proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) that selectively degrades FKBP12F36V fusion proteins by recruiting the cereblon (CRBN) E3 ubiquitin ligase. By engaging FKBP12F36V and CRBN, dTAG-13 induces rapid polyubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of target proteins. This targeted degradation enables acute, reversible depletion of chimera-tagged oncogenes and signaling factors to facilitate target validation and elucidate downstream cellular functions. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
