Biological Activity
DFHBI-1T is a cell-permeable fluorogenic probe and light-up sensor designed for live-cell RNA imaging that specifically binds fluorogenic RNA aptamers such as Spinach2 and Broccoli. Upon binding to Spinach2, DFHBI-1T exhibits enhanced green fluorescence spectral properties optimized for standard GFP filter sets. When complexed with the Broccoli aptamer, DFHBI-1T displays high fluorescence brightness with low background fluorescence, facilitating dynamic tracking and visualization of target RNA transcripts in live cells. Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
