Biological Activity

CYM-5520 is a highly selective allosteric agonist of sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 2 (S1PR2) that exhibits no cross-reactivity with other S1P receptor subtypes. Selective activation of S1PR2 by CYM-5520 stimulates downstream G protein-coupled signaling, specifically engaging G12/13 and Rho/ROCK pathways to modulate cellular functions such as cell migration, vascular permeability, and cytoskeletal organization. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
