CT-179 is a brain-penetrant, orally bioavailable inhibitor targeting the transcription factor OLIG2. It disrupts OLIG2 dimerization, phosphorylation, and DNA binding, thereby altering tumor cell-cycle kinetics to promote differentiation and induce apoptosis. Furthermore, CT-179 attenuates oncogenic signaling, suppresses tumor growth in Sonic Hedgehog medulloblastoma (SHH-MB) models, and enhances radiosensitivity in brain tumors. [1]
