Biological Activity

CP-Dihydrochloride is a small-molecule p53 modulating agent that stabilizes the active core domain conformation of p53 and promotes p53 activity in cancer cell lines with mutant or wild-type p53. Restoration of active p53 conformation enhances its DNA-binding capacity to p53 response elements without affecting p63 or phomologs. Consequently, this reactivated p53 pathway drives downstream transcriptional activation of target genes such as pand triggers apoptotic cascade responses in tumor cells. [1][2]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
