Biological Activity
Corin is a dual inhibitor targeting histone lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) and histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) within the CoREST complex. By targeting the CoREST repressor complex, it alters gene expression profiles, leading to suppressed cell proliferation in melanoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma lines. Furthermore, dual LSD1 and HDAC inhibition by Corin exhibits potent antiproliferative activity and effectively slows tumor growth in vivo. [1]
