Biological Activity
CNX-2006 is a potent, irreversible, mutant-selective epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor that selectively targets mutant EGFR over wild-type EGFR. By covalently binding to the active site of mutant EGFR, CNX-2006 inhibits receptor autophosphorylation and suppresses downstream AKT and ERK signaling pathways. This pathway blockade leads to reduced cellular proliferation and the induction of apoptosis in EGFR-mutant cancer cell lines while sparing wild-type EGFR-expressing cells. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
