Clinofibrate is an antihyperlipidemic agent and competitive inhibitor of hydroxymethylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase (HMGCR). It also acts as an activator of human liver 3alpha-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase, elevating coenzyme and substrate turnover rates. By suppressing HMGCR activity and modulating downstream steroid hormone and bile acid metabolism pathways, clinofibrate effectively reduces elevated serum cholesterol and triacylglyceride levels in biological systems.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
