Biological Activity

CID16020046 is a selective GPR55 antagonist that inhibits GPR55 constitutive activity with an IC50 of 0.15 μM. By blocking GPR55 receptor activation, CID16020046 inhibits downstream L-α-lysophosphatidylinositol-mediated extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) phosphorylation and intracellular calcium elevation. This blockade suppresses GPR55-dependent cellular migration and signaling phenotypes across various cell models while displaying weak activity against other GPCRs, ion channels, and kinases.

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
